The Kickstart Scheme job placements have specific qualifying criteria for each position:

Are your job placements just for the Kickstart Scheme?
The Kickstart Scheme job placements must:
-
be funded by the Kickstart Scheme grant and would not exist without this funding
-
be paid from the grant money for the 25 hours per week on National Minimum Wage (employers can pay a higher wage and pay for more hours)
-
not replace existing or planned jobs
-
not cause existing employees or contractors to lose or reduce their employment
Can you provide employability support to young people?
Young people need support so that they are in a better position to find work in the future.

By creating a Kickstart Scheme job placement you are helping young people who are at risk of being unemployed in the long term.

The Kickstart Scheme job should help them get basic work skills. This includes:
-
attendance
-
timekeeping
-
teamwork
-
communication
-
travelling to work
Kickstart participants may also need help with:
-
CV and interviews
-
looking for long term work
It is compulsory to offer employability support to help each young worker increase their chances of becoming employable by you or other organisations. This is a vital part of the Kickstart criteria and application process, which without the correct supporting documentation, will result in the application being rejected.

As an approved Kickstart Gateway, Talented Recruitment Group are able to provide the relevant training and support documentation which will help increase the likelihood of your application being approved and ensure all the young people you hire through the Kickstart Scheme, are supported correctly. Our training support package includes all of the relevant information and documentation for each of your placements and costs £500 +VAT per placement which is deducted from your initial £1,500 onboarding and support grant provided by the Government.
It is essential that all positions created for the Kickstart Scheme are new roles that would not have been possible to create without the support of the Kickstart Scheme.

As a result, each placement must:
-
be funded by the Kickstart Scheme grant and would not exist without this funding
-
be paid from the grant money for the 25 hours per week on National Minimum Wage (employers can pay a higher wage and pay for more hours)
-
not replace existing or planned vacancies
-
not cause existing employees or contractors to lose or reduce their employment
IMPORTANT NOTICE
If your organisation gives false or incomplete information to obtain a grant or uses funds for a purpose not outlined in this application, you risk prosecution and any funding provided may be repayable and future payments stopped.
